The Holiday Island Hikers is a 501c3 non -profit organization with two basic goals.


                   Contact:  Steve Smith 816-262-9563

  • First is to promote exercise and social interaction by scheduling hikes every Monday from Labor Day to Memorial Day. 
  • Second is to construct and maintain hiking trails in Holiday Island.

The Ramblers are an adjunct group of the Holiday Island Hikers.  We take hikes a bit slower, easier or shorter than the Monday weekly hiker group.  Ramblers meet on Thursdays.  The calendar is listed on the HI Hikers facebook page.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

Holiday Islanders property owners play weekly Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 9:00-11:00 at the Holiday Island Tennis Courts at the recreation complex.  Call if you’d like to set up practice at a different time.

Lady golfers of all skill levels are invited to join the Holiday Island Ladies Golf Association. You have an option to play either 18 holes or 9 holes.  We meet on Wednesday at the 18-hole golf course. Start times are seasonal, please contact us.  See more details on the website

Men's Golf Association HIMGA

Men meet weekly on Tuesdays at the 18 hole championship course for a shotgun start.

Nine and Dine

This is a bi-monthly social event open to all.  Couples, singles, and all skill (or lack thereof),  levels.  Golf at the 9-hole executive course on the island, play a scramble, enjoy a meal, and socializing with your neighbors.   

Old Coots Golf League

This mens league meets Thursday mornings at the 18-hole golf course for a 9-hole scramble.  Tee times vary seasonally, so check with us.
